U.S. Power Awarded Cooperative Research Network
Contract
U.S. POWER HAS BEEN AWARDED a contract by the Cooperative Research Network,
a Service of the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA),
for the design of a Low-Cost Automation/ Telecommunications System specifically
suited to the needs of the electric cooperatives.
The National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) represents
the nations 1,000 consumer-owned rural electric power systems. U.S.
Power will work with the rural cooperatives to design a system that will
meet their requirements with respect to SCADA, distribution automation,
automatic meter reading, and other functions.
U.S. Power, founded in 1992, is part of the Sinesonics group of companies
and is dedicated to the development of products that address the cross-functional
requirements of the power utility industry.
